The Nesting sleeper sofa from Saba Italia is another simple way to add extra bedding to your home while not sacrificing your good sense of style in the process. The Nesting convertible sleeper simply unfolds to create a round bed with a low sleek look. In the sofa configuration the Nesting lives up to its name with a cozy sitting area full of comfortable pillows, a nice place to curl up and relax. Scoop Round and Quad Convertible Sofa Beds from Saba Italia
We have reviewed some really cool sofa sleepers and convertible couches in the past few years and many of them are for the spare room to be hidden away as “guest only” furniture. The Scoop Round and Quad sofa sleeper beds from Saba Italia easily stay uniform and ready for nighttime thanks to a removable hook system. One side of the Scoop has fixed legs and one has lockable wheels so lifting is not necessary, just reposition and get ready for bed. Designer Guido Rosati made sure comfort was included with a wooden frame surrounded by several densities of polyurethane foam, velfodera, and polyester fibers. The entire collection... Read More →
Vejle Stole Mobelfabrik Table, 1960
K/W Vintage Camera Club has added a photo to the pool: This is a teak dining table with hidden extension leaves from around 1960. It was made in Denmark by the company Vejle Stole Mobelfabrik and I believe designed by Henning Kjaernulf. The chair on the left is made in Denmark but there isn’t a manufacturer’s name. The chair on the right is a vintage Pagholz chair from West Germany. It’s plywood and can be connected to other chairs like it of stacked. The tea set is Stavengerflint from Denmark. More info on this set later…. Read More →

Solaris All in One Modern Kitchen Island from Ernestomeda
Representing a young and dynamic spin on modern kitchen design, Ernestomeda takes only the necessary elements into consideration, leaving a clean right to the point solution. The collection features warm wood and stainless steel with durable Corian to appeal to the visual and manageable aspects of today’s kitchen design. Right away I was impressed with the Solairs standalone counter / kitchen island that incorporates dual sinks, cooktop, lighting, drawers, serving bar, and counter space for food preparation in a cool modern package. I think Solaris would work perfectly in most modern kitchens and I can see it really standing... Read More →

The Read-Nest Cabin by Dorte Mandrup Arkitekter
Denmark’s Dorte Mandrup Arkitekter has designed this cool summer house. At less than ten square metres, this wooden hut is set at the foot of the client’s garden in an unnamed Danish location. Deliberately austere. The space is designed to offer solitude, relaxation and to help the occupant focus. With the only elements of the cabin being a window, day bed, roof-light and shelving, the Read-Nest provides a sanctuary to spend quality time with some good books. The Read-Nest was prefabricated off-site before being trucked to the client’s house and snapped into place – the architects point out that there’s... Read More →
